Kirill Sinitsyn

Kirill Sinitsyn is a researcher and PhD candidate at Durham University. His research focuses on developing a theoretical framework for governance of the cyber sphere and mapping the constellation of public, private, and civil interests in the online sphere, particularly as they pertain to surveillance, anonymity, and whistle-blowing platforms.

Kirill holds a Masters degree in Global Politics from Durham University, and a B.A. in Finance and Economics from Fresno Pacific University in California. Originally from Russia, his family emigrated to Canada in 1997. He has previous experience working in investment banking and is also a former world-ranked tennis player.
