Digital Divide

The global digital divide refers to the sizeable gap between those with extensive access to digital technology and those with very limited or no access at all. For those with limited or no digital access, there are a number of implications which can hinder the development of the entire community as well as the individuals within it. In particular, the internet faces a number of challenges to its promise of open and unrestricted information to all.
