Achievements
Between 2003 and 2009 he was founding Dean of the Hertie School of Governance.
Director of the Transnational Conflicts and International Institutions Research Unit at the Social Science Research Centre, Berlin (WZB) and Professor of International Relations at the Free University of Berlin. Between 2003 and 2009 he was founding Dean of the Hertie School of Governance. Before that he taught at the University of Bremen, where he initiated the DFG Special Research Project "State in Transformations." Michael Zürn is currently a member of the DFG Senate and a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Science. His main research interests include globalization, governance, international institutions, and problems relating to the rule of law.
